The Photo Gesture will open in the Sonia Gechtoff Gallery on Wednesday, March 28 and run through Wednesday, April 18, 2012. The Opening Reception will be held on Wednesday, April 4, 6-8pm.

Poetic of the Sign opens in the Sonia Gechtoff Gallery on Thursday, March 8, 6-8 PM and runs through March 24.

Eric March just completed the Provincetown Dune Shack Artist in Residence program on Cape Cod. The Residency provided a unique opportunity for three weeks of solace and creative exploration in the secluded barrier dunes at the tip of the cape in a small historic "dune shack". Participation in the AIR program is competitive and is administered jointly by the Cape Cod National Seashore and the Provincetown Community Compact.

Sam Adoquei painted a picture of THE DAKOTA, where John Lennon Lived, for American Artists Magazine as a Step-by-Step landscape demonstration. The article will appear in the October issue of the American Artists Magazine titled, “Capturing the Truth of Your Subject”.

Vincent Baldassano has been selected as a Visiting Artist at the American Academy in Rome's Visiting Artist/Scholar Program. Founded in 1894 it is the oldest American Overseas Center for independent study and advanced research in the Arts and Humanities.

Congratulations to NA, Rhoda Sherbell for her “Best in Show” award from the National Arts Club 113th Annual Exhibiting Artists Members Exhibition.

Emphraim Rubenstein, One of Ephraim's landmark paintings from the 1990's, Still Life with Burned Books, will appear on the cover of two different books this year. The first is German scholar Mona Korte's study of scenes of book burning in Western Literature, "Essbare Lettern, Brennendes Buch". The book will be published in Berlin by Fink later this year. The second is Lory Bedikian's prizewinning collection of new poems, "The Book of Lamenting". The collection won the 2010 Levine Prize for Poetry, and will also be published later this year. Also, one my Rubenstein’s paintings is currently on loan to the United States State Department as part of its Art in Embassies Program. They were selected by the new US Ambassador to Indonesia, where they will hang in his office in Jakarta.
