The 186th Annual exhibition opened last week to great success. Nearly 1000 visitors attended the opening to see the over 100 exhibited works by Academicians and invited artists. This year’s new format, showing Academicians next to invited artists, and juxtaposing contemporary masters with emerging and mid-career artists, has been designed to reveal the cross-generational dialogue occurring in the art world.
We are pleased to announce the following distinguished artists have been elected to membership:

Thank you to everyone who attended the Academy’s opening week events. It was a huge success with nearly 4,000 guests visiting the renovated galleries, exploring the inaugural exhibitions and participating in our art classes.
The Academy would like to thank everyone who attended and supported the 2011 Spring Gala and Silent Auction. This year’s sold-out celebration was held on May 19th in the Academy’s newly renovated galleries. The evening paid tribute to distinguished Academicians Stephen Antonakos, Morton Kaish, and Kevin Roche. It also served as a prelude to the Academy's grand reopening festivities planned for September 2011.
